Issue: R2 and L2 (squeezy triggers) will not make the Fz move!
Solution: Check the following:
- Are you plugged into the M4 motor port for Focus? Is it fully inserted and screwed down? If not, plug it in, screw it down, while the unit is off and try again.
- Hit the OPTIONS button on the PS4 dualshock remote. This clears any software stops that you might have inadvertently put in place. Try again with the lower triggers L2 and R2.
***Hitting L1 and R1 sets the virtual stops. Pressing both L1 and R1 while the unit is stationary will set the high and low stops exactly where you are. If you aren't familiar with the stops, this can happen easily as you search for buttons. - Check the SETTINGS menu and then the Axis Settings. Here you can modify each axis to be Regular, Reversed, Held, or Off. Check that you haven't set Focus to Hold or Off. If you have, change it to Regular or Reversed.
- Also try this if you "hot-plugged" the focus motor. "Hot plugging" the M3 and M4 motor ports (plugging or unplugging motors while the unit is on) is not a good idea, but it won't damage your unit. What it may do is put the motor drivers in protection mode where it won't turn until a restart or a Motor Profile change. The Motor Profile change will reinitialize the driver and is a shortcut to getting focus going again (if in protection mode). Motor profiles, are changed in the Live Motion menu, the first option by hitting the up and down DPad to select the profile.
