Connect your wireless controller
Notice we said connect and not pair! Pairing, you need to do once. Connecting is every time you power on your unit.
- Power up the Conductor SA2.6
- Press and release (just click it - do not hold) the PS button between the two joysticks.
- The LED on the remote will begin flashing slowly, about a blink a second, as it searches to connect.
- If within range, the remote will connect and indicate connection by showing Blue on the LED. This typically happens in 10 seconds or less.
- If you are having trouble connecting within the 20 seconds the remote searches, power cycle the conductor and try again with the remote within 2-3 feet of the front of the Conductors.
Slider
Select either Dana Dolly or Shark Direct Drive. Doing this will insure the Conductor know what gear ratios we have and which speeds are appropriate for our various modes.
- Go to the Settings
- Navigate down through the settings to find Slider
- Select slider and set to the desired slider option you are using
Channel Setting
If you set up your slider solution and realize that the slider motor is driving in the opposite direction as you expect from your input or you want to add virtual stops (limits), this is where you do it.
- Go to the Settings --> Channel Settings
- Select the port you which to modify (M1, M2, RSPan, RS Tilt, RS Roll, RS Focus, TN1, TN2, TN3)
- While in this menu you are live for the axis you are modifying. Move it around. If reversed from what you expect, then highlight Direction and select - On-Regular or On-Reversed to get the feel you want from the remote.
- If you wish to set limits (slide is the big one here), then move the cursor over Limit and then move to the first limit (it doesn't matter which side) and follow the prompts. When complete your slider or other axis will only move in the limits you set.
- If you make a mistake and set limits incorrectly, then click back into the Limits - first prompt is to Clear? Do that and then reset!
Important - Limits are not retained after power cycles. Directions are retained (saved).
Port Settings
If for some reason the RS2/3 is not being controlled by the SA2 check that the CAN1 (2x3 Pin Port) is set to RS2 or RS3 accordingly.
- Go to the Settings --> Port Settings
- Navigate to the second page in the Port Settings
- Select CAN1 Port
- Set to the appropriate Gimbal type (RS2/3) and select to confirm
Interview Settings
Here is where the current saved settings for the Interview Monster workflows can be edited. You can also switch between in/sec and mm/sec if desired
- Go to the Settings --> Interview Settings
- Setup your desired default Speed
- Setup your desired default Ramp
- Set your desired units
Pairing a new PS4 Dualshock/PS5 DualSense Controller
If you ordered the Conductor with a remote, it should have come pre-paired. You don't need to do this unless you have a new remote - even after firmware upgrades!
- Power on the SA2.6
- Using the 8-Way Nav-Stick, select Settings
- Scroll Right (paging), or Down to page 3 of the settings menu
- Select Pair New Remote
- First press and hold the Share button and while still holding Share button, press and hold the PS Button on the PS4 controller. This will put it into pair mode. LED should be a fast blink, blink, pause. Blink blink pause. If you get a slow regular blink, start over as you did not do it correctly.
- Controller LED will light Blue on the back LED. On the SA2.6, the Pair New Remote deselects.
- You can now control the SA2 from the PS4 remote.
