I have a dolly and I want to use the TB3 on it. Will it work?

Sure, there are multiple ways and levels to get your shots moving on three axis.

-Method 1 – Repeatable Three axis moves from the TB3.  Getting 3-axis of repeatable motion is possible by driving a third stepper motor right from the TB3′s AUX port. The powered stepper output from the TB3 enables this. -Method 2 – Brut Force! Put your TB3 on a dolly. Setup the dolly to run slowly in continuous mode.   Setup the TB3 to run either a SMS or Continuous mode.  Have you camera trigger from the TB3. The continuous slide rarely introduces unsightly motion blur and these shots can look great unless you are doing really long night shots.  This is good for dolly systems that can’t or won’t integrate to eMotimo or accept external triggering.   The results look great usually, but aren’t repeatable and are more complex to set up since there are two controller involved.

-Method 3 – Make the TB3 talk to other systems.  The TB3 has a configurable I/O port that can accept 1)  external triggers from other system or 2) A camera port that can send timing signals to other systems.   In general this is usually quite a bit more complex to set up  as you have two controller to contend with and timing issues between them.   This method gets technical quickly, but is possible.   If you are techy and know how to make things talk, we will support you with advice.  If you just want plug an play – go with Method 1.
