You got your Rotator and you're looking to install it onto your Passport/RailDolly! Setup is simple.
Check that you have received all of the following components:
- eMotimo Rotator
- Bracket with 2x 1/4"-20 screws
- 3/16" Hex Wrench
- Passport/RailDolly Installation Screws
Passport/RailDolly Mounting
- Take the included bracket with 1/4-20 screws, attach it above the big eMotimo logo on the side nearest the camera mounting plate. Do not fully tighten screws, this will come later.
- Place your Passport/RailDolly flipped over on a flat surface. Align the Rotator parallel with the frame rails and screw holes
- Screw in 2x 1/4"-20 Phillips head screws tight into the dolly
Tighten 1/4"-20 bracket screws with included 3/16 hex wrench making sure your Rotator is flush with the dolly
- While holding the Rotator in place flip the dolly over and rest on flat surface
Screw in 2x M5 screws through the dolly into the Rotator
Connecting Rotator to Conductor SA2.6
Plug the Rotator's motor cable into the M2 port on Conductor and plug your Passport/RailDolly Integration motor cable into the M1 Port on Conductor
When plugged into the M2 Port on Conductor, you control the rotator by swiping right/left on the PS5 controller touchpad.
Camera Plate/Mounting
Rotation End Stops
The Rotator comes with 2x #1 Phillips head screws which act as rotation hard stops to prevent cables getting wrapped around. The screws are preinstalled to allow for 270° of motion, but you can move them to a different threaded hole on the camera mounting plate every 30° or remove them entirely.
Camera/Tripod Head Mounting
When mounting a camera or tripod head to the 3/8"-16 stud on the mounting plate, drive the Rotator clockwise until it hits a stop and then tighten your camera or tripod head down. This will prevent putting unnecessary strain on the drivetrain
For dismounting a camera or tripod head from the 3/8"-16 stud, drive the Rotator counterclockwise until it hits a stop and then remove your camera or tripod head.
