It looks like it.
While Jay ran a great shop, we know that the chip shortage stopped him from restocking without significant redesign. We also know that he sold his CNC machines last year that were used to create new parts. We had reports that several customers have been left in tough spots around warranty items and replacement items. We don't know anyone getting new rigs from them.
At this time, we don't recommend any new customers purchase from Dynamic Perceptions as there is no support. On our side, at eMotimo, we will do our best to support existing customers, but don't have drop in replacements for controllers or in many cases, motors.
As a small business in a small space, I find it hard to believe that Jay just left the lights on and walked away without notice, but there are some indications of this. If this is the case, it would be a sad and frustrating way to end a business that many customers and eMotimo cared about and respected.
