Any SA2.6 Conductor firmware that has the I/O port set to Ext. Trig, can turn on and test your track sensors, but only certain firmware has the routines to calibrate and correct based on sensor feedback.
- Make sure you sensors are installed and working correctly.
- Update your firmware to SA2_RC001_009_B6 or newer
- Power on your Conductor SA2.6.
- Make sure you I/O port is Settings-->Port Settings --> IO Port: Ext. Trig (should already be set as its the default)
- Left until you see the main menu.
- Main Menu --> Guided --> 5- Calibrate
- Using the remote, drive the Dana Dolly LEFT until you get close to the left stop, slow down to an inch a second and let the rig find the left stop. It will halt when found.
- Using the remote now drive the Dana Dolly RIGHT until you get close to the left stop, slow down to an inch a second and let the rig find the right stop. It will halt when found.
- Now drive the Dana Dolly back left the middle and over the middle sensor by a couple of inches. Then drive it back slowly right over the middle sensor. You are calibrated!
- Click X and then return to the Guided Menu.
- Set up and Interview Monster shot. Make sure your Start and End Points for the move span the middle sensor. The conductor needs to "read" that sensor for constant calibration.
- Run it and watch it go. If all is working correctly when it comes to the stop on the right hand side, if there is an error measured, it will correct and resume the move.
- Note, if you are seeing corrections of more than a few of mm or 1/4" regularly, check the spring force. If there is very little pressure, then the wheel is slipping. If you see lots and lots of slipping and don't know what our locking pins are . . . then review how to engage and disengage the motor.
