Connecting your first eMotimo Device to Skaarhoj BluePill
- Plug ethernet cable into the BluePill to POE hub router or power separately (This network needs to be able to access Skaarhoj Servers)
- Once booted open reactor in your web browser at the IP Address shown on BluePill
- Select the Settings Tab
- Make sure your Operating System has the minimum version: 1.1
- If it does not update the version to meet this minimum requirement
- Select the Packages tab
- Under the Available Packages search for core-emotimo and install the latest stable version (V1.0.1 or newer)
- Under Installed Packages make sure the following packages are updated to these minimum versions
- reactor: V2.0.1-pre2
- You might need to turn on the Show pre-releases toggle in the top right of the window to meet this requirement
- Warning: Do not use Reactor Package versions 2.0.2 through 2.0.3-pre1 as they do not include configuration files for eMotimo devices.
- hardware-manager: 1.0.3-pre14
- system-manager: 1.0.3-pre4
- reactor: V2.0.1-pre2
- Make sure the following packages are running (if not start them)
- core-emotimo
- hardware-manager
- system-manager
- reactor
- Select the Home Tab
- Add your Skaarhoj Panel (PTZ Fly or PTZ Extreme)
- Add your eMotimo Devices (ST4, ST4.3, SA2.6)
- Warning: Do not add eMotimo devices before updating the required packages. Updating packages often requires deleting and re-adding devices for the changes to take effect
- Add the eMotimo Devices to the Camera Selector of your Skaarhoj Panel
- Select the Blue Camera Selector box to open the Camera Selector Menu
- Double check that your device configuration name matches the model of the device you added if not open the dropdown menu and select the appropriate configuration file
Extra Steps if eMotimo Device is not a ST4.3
These steps are required due to a known bug that exists in the reactor package for version: 2.0.1-pre2 through 2.0.1-pre5. This bug is resolved in reactor versions: 2.0.3-pre2 and newer.
- Select the Configuration Tab
- On the Tree panel under the Default PTZ XXX Configuration select the camera selector
- On the Inspector tab Change the device configuration to the class that matches the eMotimo model
